WAYNESBORO, Va. (WVIR) –
A new attraction in Waynesboro is offering people a puzzle to solve, and all for a good cause.
Creative Works Farm’s newest escape room, “Tears of a Clown, A Murder Mystery,” tasks participants with solving the mystery of who killed Giggles the Clown.
“You have 60 minutes to try to escape, and with who killed Giggles that will lead you ultimately to get out the end door,” said Scott Balsley.
Escaping the room involves a bit of strategy and teamwork. All of the profits they raise from this room and their other attractions put money towards the farm’s summer camp, Camp Light.
“We’ve had kids from many different unique circumstances and backgrounds and diagnoses able to blend together and just have a really cool time together playing games and having fun,” said Kelly Truxell.
Camp Light for special needs children and at-risk youth from age 6 to 17. They want to give kids a place to go and hope it continues to grow.
“We adapt the programs to meet their needs so that they can still have a great time without having to worry about why they might not be able to go to a mainstream camp,” said Kelly Truxell.
This new escape room is open now until April. The tickets cost $20 per person.
