Augusta County Sheriff’s Office Press Release:
Augusta County deputies located Mr. Edward Junior Lohr in the Fishersville area at approximately 5:50 p.m. today, September 8, 2016. Mr. Lohr was in a field behind the Waterford Loop Apartment Complex in the new construction area.
It appeared that he had fallen down a 20 to 30 foot embankment. Mr. Lohr was conscious and breathing when he was found, but was very dehydrated.
Augusta County Fire and Rescue responded to the scene, and he was transported to Augusta Health. The family has been notified and have responded to the hospital.
“I would like to thank the citizens for all of the phone calls, offers of help, and general concern that was shown today for Mr. Lohr. I am proud to live in Augusta County and serve the citizens,” said Sheriff Donald Smith.

On September 07, 2016 at 1938 HRS, the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence on Jefferson Highway in Fishersville, for a report of an 81 year old male suffering from the early stages of Dementia, who had departed the home without the knowledge of his relatives.
Edward Junior Lohr, 81 is on medication for seizures, blood pressure, and the beginning stages of dementia. Sheriff’s Office members and a K-9 tracking dog were deployed, but Lohr was not located.
Lohr has previously resided in the Albemarle/Charlottesville area and it is believed that he might be heading to that area. Family reports that if he is contacted, Lohr will report that he resides in Charlottesville.
